Hope through Tragedy: Unity in New Orleans & Notre Dame will beat UGA
Ayo! Welcome back to Luck Management! What happens when tragedy strikes a beloved city and the spirit of sports offers a beacon of hope? I reflect on the heartbreaking events in New Orleans, where a terrorist attack shook the community and took 15 lives. This somber moment reminds us of the importance of resilience and unity, even in the darkest times. We honor those lost and consider the broader implications on public safety.
With Notre Dame and Georgia ready to face off, the excitement of the game serves as a testament to endurance and community. I break down the strategies and key players to watch, like Jeremiah Love and Riley Leonard, who are poised to shine under the guidance of Coach Marcus Freeman. Leonard's agility and Love's determination are highlighted, painting a picture of a team ready to create their own legacy. Notre Dame will beat UGA -ayo! Keep living the luck Management Lifestyle!

Ayo Luckies, it's your boy, carter Loesch, and we are back with another edition of Luck Management, always brought to you by CharmND, and you're starting to see a theme here. You're now understanding what's happening, the important events. When episodes come out and that is tomorrow, notre Dame, or it'll be today when you listen Notre Dame will be playing Georgia in the Sugar Bowl in New Orleans. And first things first, quick moment of silence right now for all the victims that were killed from a senseless terrorist attack. So quick moment of silence, absolutely disgusting 15 people dead. A guy drives his dodge ram with an isis flag attached to it through the streets of canal street and bourbon street. Just so senseless, so stupid, so disgusting. I I don't understand how these people could wake up and want to create carnage and cause these problems and hurt people. It doesn't make any sense in the world. And these people are doing this out of getting notoriety news. They want to be seen and it's disgusting and we have nothing but to see it and to come back stronger. And it's just so sad. I mean that's 15 people's families destroyed, just angered, and they make no sense of it. I don't understand how this can happen in a world with so much security. Apparently there was 300 different officers this guy should do. I don't even want to say his name. He is from houston. Which um people? I live in houston, so big l for houston, not happy about that. And the craziest part is that he was an american. He served in the us military and he just made these decisions and apparently there's other people that were involved. But I'm just blown away by it and it's so hard to see.
Speaker 1:And when you realize that you get a stoppage from the game, I will be honest with you. At first I was angry. I was like why aren't we playing the game? Don't let the terrorists win. But then, at the end of the day, you realize there's so much more to just a game being played. There's so much more to people's safety and the worst part about it all is that everybody else has to suffer for it. Everybody now needs to deal with higher security. You have a government and a police force that is going to be even more brutal, that is going to be even more stringent on all their regulations, which, at the end of the day, is a very good thing, but also it is something that just has no space in this world, and to do it in the new year, to try and start out 2025 as a horrible time, while also at the same time, in Trump Tower, they have a Cybertruck blow up in front of it. Honestly, it was the best ad ever for a Cybertruck because it actually contained the blast and didn't even break any windows or anything. And, yes, some people got injured, but nobody died, thankfully, and it's just.
Speaker 1:It's really hard to see these things. So, if you see something, say something. If you know of any information, call local authorities. But just disgusting to see and they're not going to win Overall, they're not going to win. They're living a lifestyle that is just, you know, boiled in hate.
Speaker 1:And the way that we can win and the way that we can support is by being there for our neighbors, being there for our family and caring about the people that need it. There's a lot of sick people out there, and so when I have these episodes and I talk about a football game, what does it really matter? When you have people dying and you have people being hurt, but what this game can do and what this game represents is kind of America. It's that ability to bounce back, it's the ability to know that we are a nation that doesn't stand for violence and, yeah, maybe we did in the past, but we are a nation that is moving forward. And what better than America's team, the Notre Dame Fighting Irish? And so I will state it as I did on this last podcast Notre Dame will beat Georgia, yeah, and win the Sugar Bowl. They will make it to the semifinals and they will play Penn State on Thursday, january 9th.
Speaker 1:And I'm going to tell you what I did a lot of analysis getting ready for this game. You know what I did I watched UGA in the SEC Championship against Texas, got some really good analysis. I got some key points for you people. And I watched a youtube simulation against notre dame versus georgia. Now I will say that georgia simulation they won 24 17, or is 24 21, but they had carson back, which that is not the case now. He is declared for the draft and overall we have a. Notre Dame is now favored by one point where they started out down 1.5 points and the over-under is 45.5. Now, I don't think they're going to score more than 46 points. I think it's going to be a low-scoring game.
Speaker 1:I think you're going to have good defenses, which I saw a lot of good defense from Georgia against Texas. But Texas, are they legit? I don't know, probably not, maybe. Yes, they barely got by Arizona State, where they were super exciting. But what I saw from Georgia overall is that they tackle very well, they have speed on that defense. Their linebackers, the defensive backs, they run to the ball and they hit hard. That's something that we're gonna have to be faster and we're gonna have to be elusive. But Mike Denbrock at OC, that's gonna be a battle of minds. You know from George's defense they're known to be so stout. But Denbrock, he moves guys around. You got to get Jordan Faison moving. You got to get him on the bubble screens. You got to get him moving.
Speaker 1:One thing that we don't have against Georgia is kicking. Our kicking team is horrible. I thought when we would get this guy named Mitch Jeter from University of South Carolina, he would be all world and you just think he's better than he is because his name is Jeter. Oh my God, he can't hit a field goal to save his life. And they have a great kicker. I think they've made like 33 or 34 field goals from within 50 yards consecutively. So their kicking team is good.
Speaker 1:Now the Georgia defense is likely to get angry and have stupid plays. Now, if Notre Dame can be sensible and move the ball in the right way, those guys are going to get angry, they're going to start making bad plays and that's going to be one of those places that we need to push their safeties. That guy Jackson, he's like Darren Sharpa, he's like the hardest hit in safety in the league and he's a white dude and he hits hard safety in the league and he's a white dude and he hits hard. So I think that that's going to be, you know, one of those times where we're going to see some massive hits by jackson on the running game for georgia etn. He's a problem, he's fast, he's still recovering from an injury, so I'm like we'll be all right, we'll'll move in, we'll figure him out. We got to load the box, but our linebackers, they got to wrap up because he will be elusive and he will be fast.
Speaker 1:Now the biggest thing that we're looking at is Stockton. So what I saw from him in one game is that he's got a gun. He could throw it fast and he's got some speed. He runs out of the pocket. He does options, he fast and he's got some speed. He runs out of the pocket. He does options. He's not afraid. He's on the move, he'll. He'll go for uh electing to not give it to etn. And one thing that notre dame needs to do is get him under pressure. Get him under pressure, and if you do that, we're gonna be just fine. Also, on that defense, uh, you gotta exploit number seven. It looks like Texas did that.
Speaker 1:I don't think we have as many explosive wide receivers as Texas does, but we have a few guys that can move and make a difference. One thing with their D-line is that they have a lot of weave. They're always moving, and so our offensive line needs to be able to pick up those blocks. But we can do it. Our offensive line has become awesome this year. From a team that only had five to ten starts, they've built it up. They've gotten 12 starts each.
Speaker 1:We lost a guy early, but we're going to be all right If we can stop them on the bubble screens. We're going to be running and gunning to the ball. Our cornerbacks are stronger. We're better. Now, one thing that they do have in similarity is fakes on punts. We like to do fake punts and they like to do fake punts, and they'll do it. They'll do it to get a fourth down conversion, even in their own end zone. So we always have to be ready for the surprise play there and their backup running back Frazier. He's not like ETM, but he's fast. These guys have speed, but Notre Dame has played speed and we've done all right. We just need to be speedy on the offense first. They have good open space tackles.
Speaker 1:Georgia is one of those teams that they're going to be very well coached. We have a great coach in marcus freeman. Five and oh, against ranked teams this year. I mean 10 straight wins. We know what we're doing, but actually 11 straight wins, including that indiana win that I called ao. But I think we got this.
Speaker 1:I think a lock for tomorrow's game and has been my biggest bet winner. I promise you hammer it. It's going to happen. Jeremiah Love will score another touchdown and Riley Leonard will score a touchdown. No matter who you think is going to win in this game, those two guys will get into the end zone. Riley Leonard already has 15 touchdowns this year, mostly on the option play right on the goal line, pulls it back and nobody touches him. I don't know how. He's just sneaky fast. It's crazy to see. And you have Jeremiah Love. Last week he played with a freaking flu and he still bombed and had a 98-yard touchdown. He's a freaking beast.
Speaker 1:These boys are ready. These boys, this is the first time in 15 years that you can really show that you're Notre Dame. Since that national championship game. Yes, we've had good years. Yes, we put it together, but Marcus Freeman has these boys buzzing. And we're doing it for America. We're doing it to fight ISIS. This is a squad that is going to win this game and take on Penn State next week.
Speaker 1:I believe in the boys. I know that the Irish are coming in. They're coming in hot, they're coming in prepared. They have a whole team there that nobody transferred during this college football playoff because they believe and they want to create success. And so it's the irish and my final score prediction is going to be 22 to 20. The fighting irish will win this game and win the sugar bowl and we will be dancing and it's going to be beautiful. Riley leonard etches his name in the notre dame record books. Another touchdown has a good day of passing. We'll have a stupid pick, he will have a stupid pick and I will pull my hair out, but I believe in these boys I believe in marcus freeman. In freeman we trust and, as always, go irish.
